Trade Risk
Journal and fills
The journal is the fill blotter for a trade log. It is not a separate product: /trades opens the Journal tab of the same React desk as Trade Risk.
How a log is shared
- Each signed-in account gets a default log named Main with a $100,000 starting balance. You can add more logs from the header.
- The selected log is stored on
?trade_log_id=. Switching logs on Risk or Journal keeps that id. - Open futures fills in that log become the live book. Equities can be journaled too; risk sizing is built for listed futures products.
- Hypothetical adds/trims on Risk are in-memory only. They do not write journal rows and they do not place orders.
What you can do
- New trade — entry, side, quantity, and prices. The form stays on the selected log.
- Import — paste a broker blotter on the import page; imported fills land in your default or selected log.
- Close / partial / scale in — update an open fill, then return to the Journal tab.
- Notes and reports — per-trade notes, plus the existing trade reports page.
From fill to dollar risk
- Open the journal (or the Journal tab on Trade Risk).
- Add or import an open futures fill (ticker such as
KCorNG). - Switch to Risk. The position shows notional, indicative margin, and typical daily $ versus starting balance.
- Optionally model an add/trim, then run Review with AI — the write-up stays on the page and does not use chat message limits.
