Arc Research has two customer tiers for new accounts: a free signed-in account and Arc Research Starter (monthly or yearly). Older Portfolio, Metal Mind, and Vol Regime products are archived and no longer sold.

Free account
Create an account with no credit card. Free accounts unlock the research workflow most traders need on day one:
- Watch 5 stocks or futures on a live quote board
- Set price alerts on futures and ticker charts
- Build commodity research stories and journal your thesis
- Run AI chats with starter models on markets and positioning
- Use 1 research agent persona (Tinfoil Cat) on starter models
- Get 10 on-page Trade Risk reviews, separate from chat limits
- Follow data feeds and get a personalized research dashboard
- Browse public reports, feeds, and futures data
Chat uses starter models with a lifetime message trial (default 10 messages) and shorter max message length. Trade Risk reviews are a separate 10-review allotment and do not consume chat messages. When the trial is exhausted, upgrade to Starter to keep chatting with premium models.
Arc Research Starter
The active paid product. Sold as monthly or yearly Stripe prices under the
starter_monthly /
starter_yearly lookup keys.
Starter includes everything in free, plus:
- Two research agent personas with higher-level models (Free is one persona on starter models)
- Premium chat models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — as configured in Available Chat Models)
- Full Knowledge Explorer
- Remote MCP for Cursor, Claude, and Perplexity
- Larger quote board (up to 100 watchlists, 48 symbols each)
- Up to 10 Archie Desk watcher slots
- 100 on-page Trade Risk reviews per month
- Forecast modeling alpha (request access after subscribe)
Subscribe from /subscriptions after signing in.
Legacy products
Portfolio, Metal Mind, and Vol Regime are archived. They are not offered to new subscribers. Existing entitled accounts keep access via direct URLs and the Legacy section in the app sidebar. New purchases should use Arc Research Starter.
