The board accepts stocks, outright futures, and calendar spreads on the same list. Search resolves against tickers and listed contracts, then live ticks keep the cells current.

Symbol kinds
- Stock — equity tickers such as
AAPL. Badge: Stk. - Futures — contract codes such as
GCJ5orESU26. Badge: Fut. - Spread — two legs joined with a hyphen, such as
GCJ5-GCK5, or combo contracts. Badge: Sprd.
Symbols are stored uppercase. Valid input is 1–32 characters of letters, digits, dots, and hyphens.
Search
The add field queries /api/quote_board/symbols
and matches ticker names, ticker descriptions, and futures ticker_name values.

How quotes update
- Opening the board (or adding a symbol) fetches a REST snapshot from Massive for stocks and futures clusters.
- The browser subscribes to
QuoteBoardChannelfor the active watchlist. - A process-local hub multiplexes Massive websocket aggregates and fans last / change / OHLC out over Action Cable.
Last prefers the latest trade; if that is missing the cell falls back to session open. Change is last versus previous close. Empty fields render as an em dash.
Cell fields
- Last — large figure, colored by net change (up, down, or flat).
- Net change — signed points and percent.
- O / H / L / C — session open, high, low, and last.
