Playbooks and triggers

A strategy pack is a bundle of playbooks plus risk limits and a quorum policy. Playbooks are versioned instructions. They do not invent crosses or fills — they judge a detector that already fired.

Golden Cross Trend

The first platform pack. Mode is paper. Quorum policy is majority_agree. Scale-in is off. Default risk caps: 8 open positions, $25,000 notional, 10 trades per day, 8% stop, 60-day time stop.

  • Golden Cross Entry — listens to golden_cross. Decide enter or skip. Prefer skip when volume is weak, the higher-timeframe trend is down, or the book already has the name.
  • Regime Review — votes whether trend and volatility still support a long.
  • Positioning Review — fails if the book is already concentrated in the name or a correlated sleeve.
  • Event / News Review — designated veto. Fail if a catalyst invalidates the setup.
  • Trend Monitor / Exit — listens to death crosses, stop proximity, time stops, opposing signals, COT, EIA, price alerts, watcher flags, and mark-to-market. May hold, tighten the stop, scale out, or exit.

Playbook kinds

  • Entry — Archie is the supervisor. Allowed actions: enter or skip (scale-in only if the pack allows it).
  • Review — research-only voters. They call cast_review_vote. They cannot place trades.
  • Monitor — open-position reviews. Allowed actions: hold, tighten_stop, scale_out, exit.

Reading a run

Open a run from the desk. You should see the book snapshot Archie used, the proposed action (quantity, limit, stop), review votes with reasons, and the model transcript with tool pills. If a run is skipped, the skip reason is stored on the run (already open, no matching playbook, monitor trigger with a flat book).
