"transcript": "At 8:15 AM Eastern, this past Wednesday, the 10-year US debt yield was trading around 4.68%. When the US Treasury announced it would be doubling or more their bond buyback operations. Within one day, the 10-year note yield was above the levels seen prior to the announcement. The US Treasury pledged to provide more quote liquidity support. Anything that happens within a 24-hour period is noise, and you know, I I think that once the market understands that we are focusing on fiscal consolidation and that we are uh trying to bring the market back into equilibrium uh in a thinly traded market. I think uh you know, I'm confident that bonds will continue declining. We've got a spike in oil prices. understand, you know, our announcement is for uh economic uh action, and I think that the economic action will mean that oil prices will come down sooner. Remember, we did not get here in a day. That we were left with a mess. The Biden administration had the highest deficit to GDP in history when we weren't at war or weren't in a recession. For 2025, we brought it down by more than a percent. We really do have to get going. Because if we have another three or four years, you know, we're at 18 trillion now. We're soon going to be at 20 trillion. According to the economists, who I'm not big believers in, but nevertheless, this is what they're saying. That 24 trillion, we're very close. That's the point of no return. 24 trillion dollars. We will be there soon. That's when we become Greece. That's when we become a country that's unsalvageable. And we're going to be there very soon. We're going to be there very soon. Yeah, if you could answer facing the camera. But um for the $40 trillion dollar mark that we passed from the national debt, would you comment on that and how do we reverse that? Yeah, there's look, uh the the 40 trillion, it's a big number. Uh it is smaller when we look at the publicly traded amount because our social security funds and other government entities hold a substantial amount. And what we're going to do, we're going to have to grow our way out of this. And you know, as I talked about at G20 in Asheville, we are going to talk about the US growth strategy and encourage the rest of the world to come along with us. There's nothing magic about the 40 trillion number. Uh and we can grow our way out of that. So, but what what what we do want to signal is I I think that there's been a lot of misinformation in terms of what's going on with the deficit, what's going on with the deficit to GDP. We actually had a fiscal consolidation for the calendar year 2025. You know, we we had we were at about 5.7% of GDP. And one of the things that's temporary here that's influencing the deficit uh has been these tariff-free funds. And uh we won't have to do that again and the Ambassador Greer through the 301 process is re-implementing the same level of tariffs. And I would expect that our 2026 tariff income is going to be roughly what it was in 2025. And we're going to be able to keep that in terms of the budget consolidation. Uh the other big item in the budget that we're seeing is the uh hit that we're taking from uh to revenues for the immediate expensing of factories and of equipment and farm structures. And I think that if people sit back and think that's not government spending, uh that is actually an investment in the future and we're increasing the tax base. And you know, that's how that is what measures the wealth of a nation is the ability to uh increase after-tax of return on capital. So we're pulling back the you know, think of it as pulling back the slingshot here. We have a lot of potential energy that will turn into kinetic energy during this year, next year as these factories come online. So do you think we've seen peak deficit during this administration? Uh I I think there's a very very good chance we have. Hello, this is James Anderson on behalf of SD Bullion. Smash the like button if you enjoy these bullion market updates. SD Bullion makes it simple with no order minimums, clear pricing, and discrete shipping. Trusted by hundreds of thousands. SDBullion.com. Where America buys physical gold and silver. Spot gold and silver prices end up for the week. The spot silver price closed at $68.81 an ounce bid. The spot gold price ended this week at $4,608 an ounce bid. The spot gold silver ratio slowly went down, closing at 66. But that's a big technical level, so eyes out. Big money, fiat financial managers, via the latest Bank of America poll are thinking gold is still relatively undervalued versus other asset classes. The fiat powers, that be, have a real debt problem growing on their hands, and they're obviously acting out. But let me give you one stats that I think it's it's more important than anything. We today have the same levels of debt that we had back in World War II. The difference is that back in the World War II, about 50% of the Treasury market was backed by gold. That's enough for me. I bid bullion onward. And for those of you out there who are looking to do the same, I would suggest visiting sdbullion.com/deals page this weekend. There you will find both silver and gold price at just over spot prices respectively. That's going to be all for this week for the SD Bullion market update.
