However, significant changes are expected next week, with a strong jet stream dip bringing widespread precipitation. This will end the dry spell, which is welcomed by some, but could potentially slow down harvest for farmers in the Plains, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, with Southern Texas expecting exceptionally wet conditions.",

"transcript": "Finally, fall weather farmers have been waiting on. But how long will this stretch of sunshine actually last? University of Missouri's Eric Aldrich has your forecast this weekend. Thanks a lot, Tine. Yeah, it has been very sunny, very dry. That's great news for farmers that are out in their fields doing that fall harvest, but of course, since it has been sunny, it's been exceptionally dry, especially across Southwest Missouri, back on into parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma. And that dry pattern continues back into across parts of the Inner Mountain West, uh, and unfortunately, uh, it looks like parts of Colorado, Wyoming, back on into parts of Idaho and even parts of the Pacific Northwest are going to continue to stay rather dry. However, big changes are in store, especially as we get on into next week. There's a few significant little weather systems that are going to cause a strong dip in our jet stream as we get on into next week. Uh, in fact, that's going to, uh, actually cause a lot of weather disturbances across parts of the Plains, back on into parts of Missouri, back on into parts of the South Central Plain states. And that will put an end to the dry weather. Uh, for some folks, that'll be very welcomed. For others, again, the farmers that are trying to get into the fields to get that fall harvest completely finished, uh, that could probably slow you down, especially from parts of Kansas into Oklahoma, Texas. In fact, parts of Southern Texas looks exceptionally wet over the next 8 to 14 days. Tine, back to you. Thank you, Eric. Well, is there a corn price that works for both crop and livestock producers? Coming up, the experts weigh in. Plus, USDA's feed-in residual number is stirring up quite a bit of controversy and confusion. So what is the real story? Our marketing discussion is from right here at the University of Missouri next. You're watching U.S. Farm Report. Trusted. Timely. Tradition.",
